Schneider Electric Canada appoints Daniel Peloquin as President and Leonce Fraser as Vice President, Services & Projects

Schneider Electric Canada announces the appointment of Daniel Peloquin as President. Daniel replaces Gary Abrams, who has been appointed to the position of Transformation Leader, Schneider Electric North America IT Transformation Initiative. In this role, Gary will lead the deployment of IT systems in North American manufacturing and warehousing operations.

Daniel’s background includes extensive executive leadership in general management, engineering, sales, marketing and operations.  Joining Schneider Electric in 2010 as Vice President, Services & Projects, he has a wealth of experience in leading and managing large teams of people for many large, global organizations in the electrical industry. Daniel graduated from the École Polytechnique de Montréal with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree, majoring in Power Systems.  He is a registered Professional Engineer from the Professional Engineers Association in the province of Quebec (Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec).

Before his appointment as President of Schneider Electric Canada in 2003, Gary was Vice President, Operations, Schneider Electric Canada and Vice President, Operations and Services, Schneider Electric Mexico. He played a key role in the development of Schneider Electric’s Maquiladora operations in Mexico. Gary holds a business degree from The University of Miami, Ohio.

Schneider Electric Canada has also appointed Leonce Fraser as Vice President Services & Projects. Leonce, who replaces Daniel Peloquin in this role, will lead activities that include Installed Base Services of electrical distribution systems (break/fix, retrofits, upgrades, asset performance management and other consultative studies), Energy Management Services (power quality, monitoring and audit services), the Projects and Engineering Center and Customer Operations.

Leonce has been with Schneider Electric in various leadership positions, including Vice President, Services and Projects, for the global Schneider Electric Infrastructure Business. Leonce holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Québec and an MBA from HEC Montreal in International Business.
