SUMMARY:Electrical Estimating Course 1 (Day 1)
DESCRIPTION:Presented by Suderman Estimating Systems Inc. \nSuderman Electrical Estimating Course 1 is an intense\, hands-on two-day course designed to introduce the basic principles of electrical estimating and its real-world applications. Participants will gain a solid foundation in essential concepts\, tools\, and techniques required to create accurate and competitive estimates\, combining theoretical instruction with practical exercises to build confidence and capability in the estimator role.​ \nBy the end of this course\, participants will be able to: \n\nUnderstand estimating fundamentals\, including: What is a Take-Off\, What is an Estimate\, Role of an Estimator\, Setting up to Estimate\, Estimating Tools and Forms\, Methods of Estimating\, Review of drawings and specifications\, and Organization of Estimate (including counting methods).​\nPerform detailed takeoffs by reviewing drawings and specifications\, organizing estimates\, measuring and counting materials\, and using standard estimating forms effectively.​\nLayout and estimate for: 110-volt receptacle outlets for an office\, lighting fixtures and switches for an office\, lighting and outlets for a plant\, distribution and feeders\, and a 400-amp service entrance.​\nPrice\, labour\, and summarize by applying labour units and extensions (including allowances for non-productive labour)\, incorporating material pricing\, labour costs\, job expenses\, markups\, and profit\, and developing sales techniques to support effective job closing.​\n\n\n👥 Ideal Audience: New and developing electrical estimators\, project coordinators\, and electrical professionals who need a structured introduction to estimating principles and practice.​ \n📅 WHEN: April 14\, 2026 | 🕘 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM\n📍 WHERE: Virtual\n💵 COST: Course 1 $1231.70 ($1090 + taxes) per person (for both Nov 12 and 13 sessions).
