Future-Ready Electrical Contracting & Maintenance (Hybrid Training)
Presented by Stan Shantz, Founder of EverTech XR, a division of Meir Electrical & Millwrighting Ltd.
As projects become more complex, downtime becomes more costly, and it becomes harder to find skilled workers, electrical and maintenance firms are starting to use new tools such as virtual reality (VR), digital twins, Building Information Modelling (BIM), artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics. These technologies are already being used on bids, job sites, and service routes to reduce rework and callbacks, stay on schedule, improve safety, win better service contracts, and make it easier to hire and keep great people. This is a one-day, in-person executive briefing and hands-on technology lab designed to help leaders see where these tools fit in their business and how to turn them into real results.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Identify where immersive VR, digital twins/BIM, AI, and robotics deliver tangible ROI in electrical contracting, service, and maintenance work.
- Quantify benefits such as reduced rework and callbacks, saved labour hours, fewer schedule overruns, and lower training costs.
- Use VR and digital twins with BIM to differentiate bids, support shutdown planning, and give owners and facility managers better visibility into their electrical systems.
- Outline practical, low-risk pilot projects using existing data, BIM models, and field tools to introduce new technologies without disrupting operations.
- Recognize how AI can support estimating, project documentation, service troubleshooting, and field technicians with faster, better-informed decisions.
- Build a simple, business-focused roadmap for adopting these technologies across construction projects, service work, and preventive/predictive maintenance.
👥 Ideal Audience: Service and maintenance providers, business owners, C‑suite leaders, and senior managers responsible for operations, service, or maintenance. No technical background is required.
📅 WHEN: April 7, 2026 | 🕙 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
📍 WHERE: Hybrid – Virtual via Zoom or in-person at ECAO Office
💵 COST: TBD
Course Format: This is a 1-day, in-person executive program combining a strategic briefing in the morning with a hands-on technology lab in the afternoon. The morning focuses on business value, profitability, and ROI—how VR, digital twins/BIM, AI, and robotics reduce change orders and rework, improve first-time fix rates, and strengthen service and maintenance revenue. The afternoon shifts to practical demonstrations, including exploring electrical models in VR and seeing how AI can support estimating, documentation, and field technicians in real electrical use cases.
About the Presenter: Stan Shantz, Founder of EverTech XR (a division of Meir Electrical & Millwrighting Ltd.), brings deep, practical experience from electrical contracting and maintenance into the emerging world of immersive technologies. Through EverTech XR, he helps firms apply VR, digital twins, BIM, AI, and robotics to real projects, shutdowns, and service work—focusing on safer operations, stronger bids, better margins, and more reliable service. His perspective is grounded in field realities and business outcomes, helping leaders move from “interesting technology” to concrete, measurable improvements.
