Build schedules, track labour and delays, and run weekly look-aheads to stay ahead.

Scheduling is where projects succeed or fail. And delays are where margins disappear.

You need to plan the work, track progress, and catch delays before they cost you. But the tools are clunky, the data is messy, and the GC’s schedule changes constantly.

This workshop shows you how to use AI to build schedules from production rates, sequence, and critical path — or work with the GC’s schedule. You’ll learn to turn voice notes into daily records, track delay impacts, and run weekly look-aheads to coordinate crews and catch roadblocks early.

Why this matters: Delays are inevitable. But getting blindsided by them is not. This workshop gives you a system to track progress, catch delays early, and support time claims when they happen.

You will learn how to:

• Build your own programme or work to the general contractor’s schedule: structure, durations from production rates, sequence, and critical path — AI does the first cut; you own the sequence

• Turn a supervisor’s voice note or quick write-up into a structured daily record of hours, quantities, and delays

• Run the weekly look-ahead as a working session to coordinate crews and surface roadblocks before they hit

• Learn why percent complete is yours to set — and why measuring progress by money spent is a trap

• Track delays and their impacts, so you can support a claim for time up the chain, with the time and cost of each option

👥 Ideal Audience: Project managers and operations leads who have some familiarity with AI and want to use it to support scheduling, progress tracking, and delay management. While it’s strongly recommended that you attend Session 1: Data That Actually Works, if you missed it, you can access the recording in ECAO’s Learning Centre.
