Celebrating Jodi Travers and Her Next Chapter!
Dear ECAO Members and Industry Colleagues,
It is with a mixture of immense pride and genuine sadness that I share the news of an important change within the ECAO family.
After more than 10 years of exceptional service to our association and to the broader electrical contracting industry, Jodi Travers will be leaving ECAO to take on the role of Executive Director with the Construction Labour Relations Association of Ontario (CLRAO). While we are losing a remarkable colleague, we are celebrating an extraordinary professional stepping into a role she is absolutely ready for and one she has thoroughly earned.
A Colleague of Uncommon Dedication
From her very first day at ECAO, Jodi brought a rare combination of intelligence, warmth, and an unwavering commitment to doing things right. As ECAO’s Labour Relations Manager, Jodi served as a trusted advisor to our members, a skilled and principled advocate at the bargaining table, and an integral part of the leadership team that has helped shape the direction of this association.
She mastered a complex file; one that sits at the heart of what ECAO does every day and she did so with passion, care, and humility. Our members were well-served. Our union relationships were handled with integrity. And behind the scenes, countless problems were solved before they ever became problems at all.
A Personal Word — From Me
Jodi, I want to say this clearly and on behalf of everyone at ECAO: working alongside you has been one of the genuine privileges of my time as Executive Director.
You came to this role and made it your own. You earned the respect of our members, our partners, and your colleagues not by seeking it, but simply by showing up consistently, competently, and with real heart. That is not a small thing. In our industry, at the table where the work is hard and the stakes are real, it matters enormously. You always delivered.
I will not pretend we are not going to miss you, because we are. But I would be doing you a disservice if I let that sentiment overshadow what this moment really is: the beginning of a new and exciting chapter for a leader whose best work is still ahead of her. CLRAO is very lucky, and they may not even know it yet.
We wish you every success. We wish you joy. And we hope you know that this community, your community, will be cheering for you.
From the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario
ECAO extends its deepest gratitude to Jodi for her 10-plus years of service, her commitment to our members, and her contributions to the strength and stability of our association. She leaves a lasting mark on this organization and on our industry, which she has served with distinction.
We are proud to have had her as part of the ECAO team, and we wish her the very best as she embarks on this next chapter of her career.
Please join us in congratulating Jodi and wishing her well in everything that lies ahead.
Warmly,
Graeme Aitken
Executive Director
Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO)
On behalf of the ECAO Board of Directors, Executive Committee, and Staff Team
