Electrical Safety Awareness
Elecsafe Alliance Launches 2003
Electrical Safety Awareness Campaign
Look Up! Look Down! Look Out!
The Elecsafe Alliance of electrical industry partners will launch their 2003 campaign in late May 2003. This year's campaign theme focuses on increasing electrical powerline safety awareness.
Member efforts over the past 12 months have resulted in the Construction Safety Association of Ontario and the Electrical and Utilities Safety Association joining the alliance. In addition, the partners have gained support for this year's campaign from the Farm Safety Association of Ontario and the Education Safety Association of Ontario.
To support public awareness this campaign includes:
- A powerline safety video targeted for delivery at 3,600 elementary schools across Ontario (1.3 million children).
- A farm/rural safety brochure.
- A worker safety flyer.
- Safety press releases targeted at homeowners.
- Modifications to the www.elecsafe.info website.
